Privacy & your data
Short version: your notes stay in your browser. There are no accounts and no database.
Data on this device
0 notes · about 0.0 KB stored by NoteFast in this browser.
This cannot be undone. Export notes from the notepad first if you want to keep them.
What is stored, and where
- Notes from the notepad, the text you paste into the counters, and your best typing-test score are saved in your browser's localStorage under keys starting with
nf:. - They never leave your device unless you use an AI or dictation feature (below). They don't sync between browsers or devices.
- Clearing your browser's site data, or using a private window, removes them.
AI writing helper and dictation
These only run when you click a button. The AI helper sends the current text (up to 12,000 characters) and dictation sends your audio clip (up to 60 seconds) through Vercel AI Gateway to a model provider, and returns the result to your screen. NoteFast does not keep a copy. Requests are rate-limited by IP address in memory for abuse prevention; the address is not logged by us.
Analytics
We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and does not collect personal data or anything you type.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard request logs (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver the pages.
